"Anyone Can Quantum"

Hey everyone, we have some super exciting news!  You remember that awesome short Caltech made with Paul Rudd and Stephen Hawking playing Quantum Chess?  Of course you do, but here is "Anyone Can Quantum" again for your viewing pleasure.

"Quantum Is Calling"

Well, they went and made a sequel called "Quantum Is Calling"!  This one featuring Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, and a few other cameos and returning favorites.  Check it out!

Quantum Chess is Live!

To celebrate, we're launching Quantum Chess live in Steam Early Access!  That means all of you who backed the project at $10 will be receiving your keys.  Expect an email with the download link and instructions within the next day or two.  You guys should also check out our revamped website (quantumrealmgames.com).  It is a much cleaner design, has a "How To Play" section, and a new forum as well for everyone to interact in!  And don't forget, the Quantum Chess Discord channel is a great place for live interaction and help.

Also, we haven't forgotten about the rest of the rewards.  They're coming!  We're still waiting on delivery of one of the physical rewards, then we'll be mailing everything out.

Once again, a big thank you to all of our backers.  I am so excited to finally be bringing the game to the public, and it wouldn't have been possible without your help. Thank you so much. You guys are amazing.

Quantum Chess Beta Update #2 Missing Instructions!
over 8 years ago – Sat, Dec 03, 2016 at 08:08:27 PM

Hey everyone!  It appears some of you got the link for the beta key, but not the instructions to redeem it.  That issue should be fixed now.  If you click the link sent in the previous email you should be taken to a page with the same key and updated instructions on how to use it.  But just in case, here is how you use the key.

To use this key you will need a Steam account. You will also need to download the Steam app. You can get both HERE

Once you have the app installed log in. Then click the Add A Game button

Then select Activate A Product On SteamThen select Activate A Product On Steam

Follow the menu that pops up and enter your code when prompted. Then you can play Quantum Chess. We look forward to seeing you! Please be aware, this game is in an alpha state (see Steam Early Access disclaimer below), and as such we expect there to be some bugs. That's where you come in! We need your feedback to find and fix bugs, and adjust gameplay to be as fun as possible. You can send any bugs or feedback to [email protected] , or join our Discord server for live chat here! This Steam Early Access game is currently not a finished game and may or may not change significantly over the course of development. Thank you for the support,

Quantum Chess Beta Update!
over 8 years ago – Fri, Dec 02, 2016 at 08:15:27 PM

After a long (too long) silence, there is big news!  Quantum Chess is coming to the public soon, and the beta level backers get first crack at it!  We're not ready to call it a true beta quite yet, all of the features aren't in the game.  But we wanted to get you guys something to try out.  Expect an email soon with your beta key, and instructions on how to redeem it.

I'm very excited to finally be getting this out to everyone.  Thank you so much for your infinite patience and support.  I can't wait to see what becomes of this creation.

If you're interested in some of the more technical aspects of Quantum Chess, here is a talk I gave recently at Chapman University!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3zFEpEPVF8

Again, thank you so much for the support.  Your help in making this dream a reality means so much.

P.S. If you notice bugs (I know there are plenty, help me find them) our discord channel is a great place to report and discuss them.  https://discord.gg/EYnmk4M

Backerkit Surveys
over 8 years ago – Fri, Jul 08, 2016 at 11:35:31 AM

Hey everyone,

Backerkit Surveys are on their way!  Please take a moment to go through them and answer any questions.  These will help me get everything organized for the production and distribution of the rewards, and they should be able to address any questions or concerns you have.  The digital download for the Alpha keys will be found at the end of the survey.  You will be notified when other digital downloads are made available.  I hope to see you in game!

Thanks,

Chris

Alpha Tomorrow, and Important Information About Rewards
over 8 years ago – Thu, Jul 07, 2016 at 09:43:08 PM

Hey Everyone!

We're finally at the point where Quantum Chess will be made available to those of you who pledged for the alpha!  Thank you for your patience.  To help with reward fulfillment I have set up a service called Backerkit.  It is similar to Kickstarter Surveys, but helps me much more with keeping everything organized.  Use of Backerkit is completely optional, but I do request that you use it as it helps me a great deal.  If you choose not to use Backerkit just send me a message and I will be happy to fulfill your rewards manually (when they are ready).  You will be receiving an email from Backerkit about your rewards in the near future!

For those of you receiving the alpha, if you don't hear from Backerkit by tomorrow I will send out the keys manually to the email you have provided.  And tomorrow I will be hosting a live stream, once everyone gets their keys of course!  So join in again at https://www.twitch.tv/quantumrealmgames, I plan to be going for most of the day. Hopefully we can get some games in with our fans!  You can also join me in Discord, I'll be there even before I begin streaming.  https://discord.gg/2eSxu

Please remember that the game is an alpha, and thus we expect some bugs.  You can submit bugs you find to [email protected], until we get a more robust bug submission process anyway.

Finally, thank you so very much to every backer for helping me make this possible.  I see a future where quantum physics is normal, and I think games are a great way to get there.  You have all helped usher in the future of quantum games.

Thank you,

Chris
